Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is the king of grapes - big, bold, and beautiful. The Proposal Cabernet Sauvignon is savory and smooth, with just the right amount of fruit forward flavor. A bottle of this with a nice Rosemary Prime Rib Roast or with a wild mushroom pizza is a perfect pairing.
FOR THE CORK DORKS
Appellation: Napa Valley
Sub Appellation: Rutherford
Blend: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
TASTING NOTES — This stunning Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits aromas of sweet current and blackberry fruit combined with hints of cherry, earth, licorice, and chocolate. Wonderfully sweet tannins and a luscious, expansive finish makes this wine a perfect example of a what a Napa Cabernet should be. This wine will age gracefully over the next 15 to 20 years.
HARVEST NOTES — The 2012 growing season and harvest has been described as "classic" and "perfect." We saw ideal spring bud-break, steady flowering, even fruit set, with plenty of warm days and cool, foggy nights during the long summer months. Late and light rains held off until our grapes found their optimal ripeness, bringing exceptional quality to the crush pad and into the cellar.
Cooperage: 22 months / 100% French oak
